Why the bad movies at Christmas?

You mean you don't wake up the day after Thanksgiving every year and wonder, what's the new Christmas slash flick? I know I do. Well, actually not. I really don't get the whole Sweeney Todd thing either. I don't care if it is Johnny Depp and he's reusing his accent from Pirates of the Caribbean, I'm not watching it. It just looks gross. I am wondering why serial killer movies are so in these days. In my mind there is nothing fascinating about serial killers as characters. But such movies seem to be a big thing.

Now I need to go watch a real good Christmas movie like It's a Wonderful Life to get the bad taste out of my head.

If you think there is "no Christ in Christmas" because of Hollywood's "cashing in" with horror flicks, check out the TV evangelists and magachurches. Xmas has been about Capitalism and collecting as much M-O-N-E-Y as fast as you can for some time. Christ NEVER passed a "Collection Plate", nor sat on a $23,000 toilet. But Pat Robertson, the late Jerry Falwell, the Pope, Charles Manson, Jim Jones, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Jim Baker, Jimmy Swaggart and all the other "Money Changers" would have been "thrown out of the Temple" if Christ were alive today. And all you can see is the movies? Ever hear of Macy's! Ever hear of Santa Claus! Ever hear of politicians, who exploit their religion for political advantage! I speak particularly, but not exclusively, about Romney and Huckabee, but formerly Pat Robertson & Jesse Jackson among many, many others!

Look at the entire picture. You guys are "Cherrypicking". If you want to be fair, and that is certainly in question here, you would not just pick on movies.
