Nancy Pelosi is against border protection

In usatoday online Nancy Pelosi called the border fence a terrible idea.  This is why I cannot ever support Democrats since they don't care about protecting our borders.

I am with you on that. I do not understand why we have allowed our borders to remain so open. It's scary.

So a border fence is the only option? A border fence is a horribly stupid idea because it will have nothing to do with actual security, and it's a gigantic waste of money. Just look at Berlin, Israel, and China to see how intelligent and useful wall-building has been.

The only effective ways to enhance border security are to use intelligent methods such as surveillance and going after the criminals in the US that hire illegal immigrants. Pelosi is completely right on this issue and to say that because of that she's "against border protection" is intellectually dishonest.
