Is Obama is a Rorschach Test for his followers?

All the stories I hear about Obama followers seem like they see him like a Rorschach test in which they read into him what they want to believe.  It is not clear that the other candidate's followers see this so it will be interesting to see if he becomes the candidate if the Republicans will be able to characterize him the way they want!
