Corporate bonuses are way to high

The Wall Street Journal has several articles today about bonuses for banks and investment firms.  I cannot believe how much money these people are paid and that pay is way out of line with what they should.   It is clear to me that when a business does well the people should be rewarded but it makes more sense to me to give these people $30,000 bonuses but $300,000 bonuses make no sense.  The people who get out-sized bonuses cannot relate to the majority of Americans and this makes finance less American and more international.  It is even worse when the business loses money and then still gives out bonuses which only rewards failure.
