I see assertions about figures, but I see no facts. You are not George W.
Bush. You cannot get away with making unproven assertions. You may be
getting your figures from Bill O'Reilly or George W. himself or your rectal
cavity.
Entitlement spending is a problem. I went over some of those figures when
I interned in D.C. It's kinda scary. The Federal government spends around
$300,000 to transport people in rural areas to the airport every year. I'm
not really sure why the government should be doing that.
I don't understand Tabacco's tone. Politicalman is making observations
about this and that but never in a tone that invites the condescension and
combativeness that characterize Tabacco's posts about him. I might add that
neither does politicalman make grandiose claims about exposing the
malfeasance of others, which seems to be implicit in the phrase of which
"tabacco" is an acronym. Finally, I should say that whether or not I agree
with him, I find politicalman intelligible, whereas I find tabacco's posts
rather difficult to understand. Even more finally, I'd say that in this
very complicated world, the single most important virtue leading to truth
is humility. Politicalman has it in spades. Others sometimes do not, which
makes them more interested in putting across their point of view than in
listening to what others say or trying to sit still and understand the
world as it really is.
I wonder if Esther learned her admiration of "humility" from George W.
Bush!
Sorry, my initial comment about "humility" should have been directed to
Stephen, not Esther. Before I could change it, I was published. Sorry,
Esther!
