This is the percentage of the popular vote that almost any independent run for the Presidency will get including Michael Bloomberg.  George Wallace was the most powerful independent in my lifetime and even he realized that after one run he had to run as a Democrat.  John Anderson and Ross Perot did not even do as well.  If Michael Bloomberg is going to spend 500 million dollars he is a serious candidate but it still won't get him over 22%.
